Firebase Studio is being discontinued
Per Firebase docs (2026-09-30): Firebase Studio shuts down on 2027-03-22; since 2026-06-22 new workspace creation and sign-up are disabled. Google points users to Google AI Studio or Google Antigravity (Google Antigravity IDE). Core Firebase products (Firestore, Authentication, App Hosting, etc.) are not affected, and deployed apps keep working.
Firebase
Google’s app development platform (backend services for mobile and web: auth, databases, hosting, messaging, analytics). Owned by Google. Listed here because Firebase Studio was Google’s AI-assisted cloud IDE and because AI app builders (lovable, dyad) commonly pair with Firebase or Supabase backends (pairing claim unverified for Firebase).
