Visual Studio Code: code editor from Microsoft. The source (“Code - OSS”) is MIT-licensed, but Microsoft’s official builds add proprietary customisation (product.json with telemetry, extension gallery, branding) and ship under a proprietary licence with telemetry. VSCodium is a community build compiled from the same source without those additions and with telemetry disabled (per vscodium.com).
See bring-your-own-key-in-vscode for using your own model keys.
