AI Presentation Stack for Consulting Teams

How to combine Gamma, Genspark, Manus, Skywork, Canva, and Chronicle to build McKinsey-style decks with minimal effort.

Overview

For strategy/ops consulting work, no single AI tool replaces PowerPoint + a good consulting brain. The sweet spot is a stack that:

  • Uses AI where it helps most (analysis, first-draft storylines, quick slide generation), and
  • Ends in a brand-consistent, fully editable PPT deck.

This note outlines a practical stack built around:

Roles of Each Tool in a Consulting Workflow

A common and effective pattern is: ChatGPT for deep research + structuring, then an AI deck tool (Gamma/Genspark/Manus) for first-pass slides, and finally PowerPoint for firm-template polish.

In this stack, think of:

  • ChatGPT as the thinking + content engine (research, MECE logic, SCQA narratives).
  • Gamma / Genspark / Manus as layout + visual storytelling engines.
  • Canva + PowerPoint as the brand and final-deliverable layer.

1. Analysis & Insight Generation

  • Primary: Genspark AI Designer, Manus Slides
  • Use when:
    • You have real data (financials, KPIs, research) and need data → insight → deck.
    • You want help moving from raw information to executive-level findings and implications.

Pattern:

  • Use Genspark or Manus to:
    • Clean / analyze data
    • Produce structured write-ups (insights, drivers, risks, recommendations)
    • Generate a first-pass deck that captures the key points.

2. Storyline Drafting (Problem → Insight → Recommendation)

  • Primary: Gamma, Genspark AI Designer, Manus Slides
  • Use when:
    • You need a top-down narrative fast:
      • Context & problem
      • Hypotheses or key questions
      • Analysis & insights
      • Recommendations & next steps

Pattern:

  • Draft or paste a 1–2 page brief into Gamma or Genspark.
  • Ask for a McKinsey-style storyline with slide titles and key messages.
  • Iterate until the partner/team is happy with the flow.

3. Background & Training Decks (Section 0, Capability Decks)

  • Primary: Skywork AI (Slides), Gamma
  • Use when:
    • You need to explain concepts, frameworks, or capabilities clearly (e.g., market overviews, methodology intros).

Pattern:

  • Use Skywork to generate structured explainer decks.
  • Complement with Gamma for more narrative, executive intros.

4. Design & Brand Consistency

Pattern:

  • Export from Gamma/Genspark/Manus/Skywork to PPTX.
  • Optionally pull into Canva to leverage:
    • Brand Kits
    • Shared layouts
    • Faster visual clean-up for non-designers
  • Export back to PPTX and apply / align to your official firm template.

5. Knowledge & Documentation Layer

  • Primary: Chronicle (Chronicle HQ), Confluence/Notion (if in use)
  • Use when:
    • You want a single source of truth for project narratives, hypotheses, decisions, and deliverable history.

Pattern:

  • Maintain strategy memos, issue trees, and decision logs in Chronicle.
  • Link or embed the latest decks and analyses for context.
  • Use AI in Chronicle to draft narrative sections that later become slide content.

End-State: Always PowerPoint

Regardless of which AI tools you use upstream, for McKinsey-style client work you typically:

  1. Export to PPTX from the AI tool.
  2. Apply your firm slide master and reflow content into your standard sections.
  3. Rebuild critical analytical exhibits manually or with PPT-native chart tools (waterfalls, bridges, scenario tables, etc.).
  4. Perform final partner review directly in PowerPoint.

Example Workflow (Project-Level)

  1. Discovery & Data
  2. Storyline v0.1
    • Feed key insights into Gamma or stay within Genspark/Manus.
    • Generate a top-down storyline deck (10–20 slides) for internal discussion.
  3. Storyline v0.5 – Internal Review
    • Edit the draft inside Gamma/Genspark/Manus for clarity and structure.
    • Share web links internally for comment.
  4. Storyline v1.0 – PPT Export
    • Export to PPTX.
    • Align content with your firm’s standard sections (Executive Summary, Situation, Complication, Resolution, Recommendations, Roadmap, Risks).
  5. Design Polish & Brand
  6. Final Review & Delivery
    • Run partner review in PowerPoint.
    • Export to PDF or present live via PPT.

When to Use Which Tool (Quick Guide)

  • You want: one-click draft deck from a narrative brief → Start with Gamma.
  • You want: data → insight → executive findings deck → Start with Genspark (or Manus if you care more about reasoning traceability).
  • You want: training/background decks → Use Skywork, sometimes combined with Gamma.
  • You want: branded, client-facing final pack → Use Canva + PowerPoint.
  • You want: a project knowledge hub → Use Chronicle alongside the above.
