Traycer
Per the vendor, a planning and orchestration layer for AI coding agents (“nerve center for agentic coding”).
Same product as the 2025 spec-driven planner: the VS Code extension became a standalone desktop orchestrator. Placement note: the file sits in
ai-coding-rules/but it is now an agent orchestrator, soai-coding/tools/may fit better (not moved).
Open source: the desktop app is MIT-licensed, repo https://github.com/traycerai/community (macOS Apple Silicon/Intel, Windows x64, Linux AppImage/deb/rpm; “bring your own agent”, 20+ agents listed). EveryDev (secondary) lists Desktop 1.1.6 released 2026-07-10. A community tier list reportedly placed it in B tier, “great for complex tasks, heavy for small ones” (second-hand opinion, not verified). Traycer started (2025) as a spec-driven planning tool (date per earlier note; not rechecked). The current site describes it as a shared workspace where multiple agents (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, Gemini, local runtimes) collaborate: agent-to-agent handoffs, persistent shared context, built-in skills for plan/execute/review/document, team workspaces. Available as macOS/Windows/Linux desktop apps, a mobile app, and a VS Code extension (site claims 40K+ VS Code and 240K+ Open VSX installs; vendor figures). The vendor claims SOC 2 Type 2 and GDPR compliance; not independently verified.
