Maestri

Native macOS app that puts coding agents, terminals, notes, files and sketches on an infinite spatial canvas; agents can be linked (“portals”) so they talk to each other. Site: https://themaestri.app. Made by Evercraft Labs (Terms and Conditions, last updated 2026-02-26). Community tier list: B tier, “canvas for agents, but memory hungry” (opinion; no memory figures found in docs).

  • Platform: macOS 15.4+ on Apple Silicon (vendor site and listing); built in Swift/SwiftUI with Metal rendering (listing). Windows 11 x64 (portable version available) and Linux x64/arm64 (.deb or AppImage) versions exist with their own changelogs (Windows and Linux 0.21.3, 2026-10-07; Electron 44 since 0.21.0) and Maestri Remote, an iPhone/iPad companion in public beta on TestFlight that pairs with a Mac or Windows PC. The Mac changelog’s latest entry was 0.50.0 on 2026-10-08.
  • Agents: Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode; the docs say Maestri is not an agent itself and works around agents you already have installed. Editor hooks for VS Code, Zed, Xcode (not re-checked).
  • Privacy: vendor site: zero telemetry, no account, data stays on the Mac; bundled agents have their own privacy policies. The on-device “Ombro” assistant watches running agents, summarises results and keeps notes; the docs say it runs on Apple Foundation Models and is macOS only (not in the Windows version).
  • Billing: free tier plus a one-time Pro upgrade with a 7-day trial (vendor site 2026-10-07; unlimited workspaces are a Pro feature); see the vendor page for the price. Developer: Evert Jr. (@evertjr), per the vendor site. Closed source: the Terms forbid copying, reverse engineering and redistribution.
  • Differs from: Agentastic (IDE/worktree-centric) and Traycer (plan/board-centric): Maestri is a spatial canvas.
