Pattern
Three Flash iterations shipped inside a single 14-week window (3.5 → 3.6 → 3.7) while the 3.5 Pro
tier never shipped and has been reported cancelled (no date given in the report). The generation’s centre of gravity is
therefore the fast, cheap tier rather than a flagship — and 3.7 Flash’s price cut plus free API
tier is the release that mattered most commercially.
Several releases with divergent fates (shipped Flash tiers, a preview-only 3.1 Pro, a 3.5 Pro that never shipped) make this
generation harder to summarise as a single model than most.
