Vibe coding

Vibe coding is ai coding whereby you go with the flow, the vibe and do not look at the generated code.
Often instructions to the ai coder are given by voice, but keyboard can be used too.

Term popularised by Andrej Karpathy in February 2025 (attribution unverified in this session). See also spec-driven-development and agent-first-development for the more disciplined end of the spectrum.
