Gravitee Agent Management (AI Gateway)

What it is

Part of Gravitee Gamma, which unifies API Management, Event Stream Management and Agent Management. Per the docs, Agent Management governs LLM, MCP and agent-to-agent (A2A) traffic from one control plane with the AI Gateway as runtime. The first Gamma release is dated 2026-06-26 (release notes; the page does not say GA or preview).

Maker and licence

Gravitee. The API Management repo (gravitee-io/gravitee-api-management) is Apache-2.0 with an optional Enterprise licence; which Gamma/Agent Management features are open source or enterprise-only is not stated in the pages read.

Position

API management platform extended to MCP, A2A and LLM proxying.

Capabilities (per docs)

• LLM Proxy: routes to OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Bedrock, Vertex AI; token-based rate limits; per-model cost attribution.
• MCP Proxy (Proxy mode, Studio mode for composite MCP servers) and exposure of REST APIs as agent tools.
• A2A Proxy: skill discovery via agent cards, per-plan client authentication.
• Guardrails: local text classification, PII filtering, MCP response redaction.
• Identity: agents registered as OAuth clients; JWKS or SPIFFE JWT-SVID for workloads; deny-by-default MCP tool authorization.
• Catalog of models, MCP servers, tools, prompts, agents; OpenTelemetry tracing.

MCP spec support

Release notes do not name a revision; the MCP Proxy uses JSON-RPC 2.0.

Fit and limits (opinion)

Suits organisations already running Gravitee. Importing MCP servers from external registries is documented as planned.
