WSO2 AI Gateway (API Platform)

What it is

WSO2’s AI Gateway: per the WSO2 product page, a single control plane for LLM traffic (outbound) and MCP tool exposure (inbound), part of the WSO2 API Platform alongside API Manager and an API Portal and MCP Hub.

Maker and licence

WSO2. The open-source repository wso2/api-platform is Apache-2.0 (GitHub); its README says the gateway is based on Envoy Proxy, policy-driven (Go policies) and “MCP enabled”. WSO2’s page does not state a licence for the AI Gateway itself; it says API Manager, Integrator and Identity Server are open source and that the AI Gateway is available as a free sign-up on the Bijira console or as a download.
