ClickHouse, Inc.

Company behind the open-source ClickHouse database and ClickHouse Cloud. Private company. Its own “Our Story” page (opened 2026-10-08) says ClickHouse, Inc. incorporated in Delaware in 2021 with headquarters in the San Francisco Bay Area (the page footer also lists Amsterdam), with an initial USD 50 million investment from Index Ventures and Benchmark Capital in September 2021. Founding team: Aaron Katz (Co-Founder and CEO), Alexey Milovidov (Co-Founder and CTO), Yury Izrailevsky (Co-Founder and President).

Funding (company blog and press pages, primary):

  • Series B: USD 250 million at a USD 2 billion valuation, 2021-10-28 (blog title; investors per the story page: Coatue, Altimeter, Lightspeed, Redpoint and others).
  • Series C: USD 350 million, 2025-05-29, led by Khosla Ventures with BOND, IVP, Battery Ventures and Bessemer joining and existing investors including Index, Lightspeed, GIC, Benchmark, Coatue, FirstMark and Nebius; announced at the first user conference, OpenHouse. A follow-up post of 2025-10-07 extends the Series C and reports hires: Kevin Egan as Chief Revenue Officer (July), Mariah Nagy as VP People (August) and Jimmy Sexton as CFO. The USD 6.35 billion valuation quoted in Wikipedia is not stated in either post.
  • Series D: USD 400 million led by Dragoneer, announced 2026-01-16 (valuation not disclosed), together with the acquisition of Langfuse and a managed Postgres service built with Ubicloud. ClickHouse states 3,000+ Cloud customers and ARR growth above 250 percent year over year (blog), and that Langfuse’s open-source project ended 2025 with over 20K GitHub stars.

Later company news (clickhouse.com/company/news, 2026-10-08): Andy Pavlo joined as VP of Database Research to lead the new ClickHouse Labs (2026-08-03); Mike Scarpelli, former Snowflake and ServiceNow CFO, joined the board (2026-09-22); expanded Microsoft collaboration with a native Fabric workload and OneLake read/write (2026-09-29). “Postgres managed by ClickHouse” entered beta on 2026-05-27 (blog).
