Ayrshare
What it is
Ayrshare (ayrshare.com) is a unified social media API: one integration to post, schedule, read analytics, handle comments/DMs and manage ads across several social networks, aimed at developers, SaaS products, agencies and AI agents. It also runs a hosted MCP server. Peers: Zernio, Blotato, Postiz, Upload-Post, Outstand, bundle.social; the wider field is in social-media-management-tools.
Maker and history
- Per its About page (lastModified 2026-10-02): founded 2020 by Geoff Bourne and Boris Markovich, a remote international team. In October 2025 Ayrshare joined saas.group, a portfolio of independently run software companies (vendor statement).
- Vendor claims on the homepage: “10,000+ teams”, “30M+ API calls per day”, “>99.99% API uptime” (vendor figures, not independently checked).
Platforms supported
The docs list 14 networks: Bluesky, Facebook, Google Business Profile, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, Snapchat, Telegram, Threads, TikTok, WhatsApp, X (Twitter), YouTube. Marketing copy says “14+“.
API surface
- REST API at
app.ayrshare.com/api(Bearer API key), OpenAPI-validated; endpoint groups include Post, History, Analytics, Comments, Messages, Reviews, Ads, Auto Schedule, Media, Profiles, Validate, Webhooks, Generate (hashtags), Brand and Listening; Automations is marked beta. - Official SDK packages: Node.js and Python (per the help-centre page title/summary).
- Webhooks: documented; the pricing page lists “webhook integrations” from the Launch plan upward.
- MCP: hosted at
https://api.ayrshare.com/mcp, Streamable HTTP, stateless, API-key auth. The docs tool catalog says 33 tools; the AI-agent marketing page says 27 (inconsistent between vendor pages). A separate read-only Documentation MCP and a Claude Code plugin (GitHubayrshare/ayrshare-social-media-api-claude-plugin) exist.
Features
Publish and schedule, history import (AI use: learn a brand’s voice from past posts), cross-network analytics, comments and DMs moderation, review management, pre-publish validation against platform rules, Facebook boosted ads (paid add-on), WhatsApp messaging (announced on the homepage). “Max Pack” is an add-on that raises posting limits (see docs).
Platform approvals, data, security
The vendor states it holds direct integrations through each network’s official APIs and partnership programmes and that it is an official social network partner, so customers do not file their own app reviews. Exception noted on its agent page: for X, bring-your-own-key is supported under a “2026 mandate” (details not verified). Multi-tenant model: one API key plus an optional Profile-Key per managed end-user profile; profiles/sub-profiles require the Business plan or above. Security certifications: not verified (see Open items).
Pricing model
Billed per social profile (one customer/brand/location with any number of networks counts as one profile), not per seat or per post. Tiers: Premium (1 profile, own brand), Launch (multi-profile, entry), Business (tiered per-profile pricing up to a few hundred profiles), Enterprise (custom). The vendor offers a 28-day free trial on Launch. Add-ons: Max Pack, Facebook boosted ads. Current amounts: https://www.ayrshare.com/pricing/.
Limits
Rate limits depend on plan (“standard” vs “expanded” vs custom); per-network character and media limits are in the docs (character limits and media guidelines pages).
Fit and limits (opinion)
Established, documented and multi-tenant, so a safe default for SaaS products that embed social posting for their own users. Per-profile billing grows with customer count, which can cost more than flat or per-post models at scale; the vendor’s own comparison pages claim to be cheaper than peers, which is marketing.
