Blotato

What it is

Blotato (blotato.com) describes itself as “agent infrastructure for social media marketing”: a unified REST API and hosted MCP server that lets AI agents and no-code tools publish, schedule, read comments and DMs, and fetch analytics across nine social platforms, plus a web app with AI writing, image, carousel and video generation. Related: Zernio (broader platform list, per-account pricing), social-media-management-tools, MCP, mcp-gateways-compared.

Maker and history

  • Company footer: Blotato Inc. Founder: Sabrina Ramonov (the About page says the company is funded with $0 and run solo; vendor statements).
  • Vendor claims 10,000+ business owners and “thousands of paying teams” on the homepage; not independently verified.
  • DM automation shipped 2026-08-06 per the vendor’s llms.txt.

Platforms

Nine, consistent across homepage and llms.txt: X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky, Pinterest. Analytics on eight (not LinkedIn). Comments, DMs and DM automations: Instagram and Facebook only. The vendor says publishing uses each platform’s official API, not browser automation.

API surface

  • REST https://backend.blotato.com/v2, header blotato-api-key; docs at help.blotato.com (GitBook, with llms.txt and .md page exports; a source OpenAPI reference is linked).
  • Hosted MCP https://mcp.blotato.com/mcp (streamable HTTP; OAuth for Claude and ChatGPT, API-key header for Cursor, Codex, Antigravity, Replit); the vendor lists 36 tools (accounts, credits, posts, analytics, comments, messages, DM automations, content extraction, visuals, schedules, media).
  • Official n8n and Make nodes per the vendor (n8n, make-dot-com); seven free Claude skills.
  • Webhook mention on the homepage only; details not verified.

Features

Create and schedule posts (calendar, weekly slots, next-available slot), first comment, keyword-triggered DM automations (Instagram and Facebook, reply-only), inbox, analytics with snapshot history, source extraction (YouTube, TikTok, X, article, PDF, audio), templated infographics, carousels, slideshows and AI-avatar video, AI voiceovers.

Platform approvals

The homepage says “no OAuth apps to get approved”: the vendor holds the platform integrations and you connect accounts through its OAuth. Security certifications and data retention were not found.

Pricing model

Flat monthly plans (Starter, Creator, Agency) that differ by connected accounts (20 / 40 / 100 per the vendor’s llms.txt), AI credits, upload size and DM contacts; no per-post fee; credits only for AI image and video. 7-day trial that, per the vendor, excludes the API: generating an API key starts the paid plan. Amounts: https://www.blotato.com/pricing.

Limits

Route-specific request limits per minute (for example 30/min create post, 60/min for list and status routes; help.blotato.com rate-limits page). The homepage separately claims “1,800 requests per hour”; the docs table is per route per minute, so the two are not directly comparable. TikTok on Starter: 3 distinct accounts in a rolling 24 hours (docs).

Fit and limits (opinion)

Good for creators, solopreneurs and agent builders who want content generation and posting in one flat-priced service. Narrower than Zernio on platforms and no ads or phone layer; API access needs a paid plan from day one. Reviews cited on the pricing page (Trustpilot, G2) are vendor-reported.
