Looker and Data Studio learning path
Notes: Looker, Data Studio (Looker Studio). Fetched 2026-10-05.
Official
- BI and Analytics with Looker (learning path, 10 activities, Google Cloud) - https://www.skills.google/paths/28 (confirmed 2026-10-08 via WebFetch: “managed by Google Cloud”, 10 activities, “last updated approximately one year ago”; curl gets 403 from skills.google, so the page needs a browser or WebFetch). Labs, quests and courses. Free vs paid for the labs: not verified.
- Course names listed in Looker docs “Improve your skills in Looker” (re-read 2026-10-08, each linked to a Skills Boost course template): Get Started with Looker, Build LookML Objects in Looker, Manage Data Models in Looker, Prepare Data for Looker Dashboards and Reports - https://docs.cloud.google.com/looker/docs/build-skills-with-courses
- Looker documentation - https://docs.cloud.google.com/looker/docs (free).
- Looker release notes - https://docs.cloud.google.com/looker/docs/release-notes
- Data Studio release notes - https://docs.cloud.google.com/data-studio/release-notes
- Looker updates for agentic BI at Next ‘26 - https://cloud.google.com/blog/products/business-intelligence/looker-updates-for-agentic-bi-at-next26
Certifications (status unclear)
- Looker Business Analyst (creating and curating content in Looker)
- LookML Developer (modelling data with LookML)
Both names come from Google Cloud’s certification-program blog post dated 2020-02-20 (https://cloud.google.com/blog/products/data-analytics/looker-certification-program, page metadata read 2026-10-08). They do NOT appear on Google Cloud’s current certification landing page (https://cloud.google.com/learn/certification, checked 2026-10-08: the listed certifications are Cloud Architect, Database Engineer, Developer, DevOps Engineer, Digital Leader, Engineer, Network Engineer, Security Engineer, Data Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, Generative AI Leader, Data Practitioner, Security Operations Engineer, Agentic Architect and Workspace Administrator), and the Looker docs training page says nothing about certifications. Treat them as possibly retired; do not plan around them without confirming with Google. Exam fee: unknown.

Creator channels, books, practice datasets and Coursera courses appeared in search results but were not opened, so are not listed. No vault summaries (yt-base not accessible).
