Solo (soloterm.com)
Per the vendor site, a “meta-harness”/workspace for coding agents and the local dev stack. Defined once in solo.yml, dev servers, queues, logs and shell sessions are shared by humans and agents instead of each agent starting its own copy; agents read running processes’ output through Solo’s MCP server, HTTP API or CLI. Identified with a community tier-list blurb (“shared dev stack”, reportedly C tier); that placement and the blurb’s review claim are second-hand and unverified.
- Maker: Solo is “a product of Try Hard Studios, LLC” (Terms of Service, 2026-02-04), built by Aaron Francis (per the site, which describes him as VP of Marketing at Laravel and creator of faster.dev and Database School; the “Solo” name is generic, so this note is deliberately aliased
Solotermonly). - Platforms: macOS 11+, Windows 10 (1809+), Linux (Ubuntu 22.04+, AppImage). Proprietary/closed source (licence per Terms of Service); a Tauri desktop app using the system webview, not Electron (site FAQ). Latest changelog entries: v0.10.0 (2026-08-27) and v0.10.1 (2026-09-03).
- Agents: the homepage and agents page name Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Amp, OpenCode, Aider, Goose and custom commands; the changelog adds first-party Antigravity support (v0.10.0), and an earlier fetch also listed Pi, GitHub Copilot CLI and Kimi CLI. One lead agent can coordinate workers.
- Billing: Free tier (limited projects/processes), Pro (annual, multi-device), team seats (per-seat annual); see https://soloterm.com for current pricing.
- Features: auto-detection of 20+ stacks (vendor claim), shared scratchpads, linked todos with dependencies, prompt templates, MCP server (the site claims 40+ MCP tools; vendor claim), HTTP API and CLI; commands imported from
solo.ymlare blocked until reviewed and trusted (site FAQ). - Differs from: Conductor (parallel agent orchestrator; Solo compares itself as a local process dashboard), Agentastic, Maestri.
